Fried dumpling is a piece of goodness that is enjoyed nice and hot. These little things are the ultimate comfort food. You can eat it by itself or enjoy it with almost anything. I got a few requests to share my recipe, so without further ado, here it is:
Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 1 ¼ cup water
- 1 ½ tablespoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup of oil
Directions:
- In a bowl combine flour, baking powder, butter and salt
- Slowly add water and begin to knead dough
- Knead until well combined
- Heat pot to medium and add oil
- Begin forming dumplings and then carefully add them one at a time to the pot
- Fry them for ~2 ½ minutes per side until golden-brown (Timing varies from stove to stove so check periodically)
- Remove from heat and place on paper-towel lined plate to remove excess oil
- Enjoy immediately : )
